Episode 1: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Rapture

Brief summary: The first of an introductory series and covers the future plans for the podcast and a bit of personal information about Dee Dee (me) and my interest in eschatology.

Episode 2: A Short Summary of Preterism

Brief summary: The second in an introductory series. In this episode, three basic foundations of the preterist position (timing, chronology, and apocalyptic language) are briefly explained. The differentiation between hyperpreterism and preterism is discussed.

Episode 3: Perfuming the Hyperpreterist Hog

Brief summary: The third in an introductory series. In this episode I lay out the case for the importance of terminology in the eschatological debate between heretical preterism (hyperpreterism) and preterism. This podcast goes twice the length as my target length, so I recommend listening to half and returning to listen to the other half at another time. I go into great minutae on the history and rational behind the specific terminology that we use. The issue is very important, I thank you for your attention.

Episode 4: Climbing Mount Olivet

Brief summary: The first in the series which will be going verse by verse through my commentary on the Olivet Discourse, It’s Not the End of the World!. This episode deals with the context and background leading up to the disciple’s questions to Jesus which starts off the Discourse.

Episode 5: It’s a Matter of Conscience

Brief summary: Is it appropriate for a woman to have a teaching podcast such as this

There is no second in the Olivet series. I obviously cannot count.

Episode 6: Will You Answer Me These Questions Three

Brief summary: The third of an ongoing extended study going verse by verse through the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode gets into the three questions posed by Jesus’ disciples, namely: when shall all these things be; what shall be the sign of your coming; and what shall be the sign of the age of the age.

Episode 7: Hyperpreterism 2008 and Beyond: Interview with Roderick Edwards

Brief summary: Roderick and I have an informal discussion of the state of hyperpreterism today, and Roderick lends his perspective on issues within hyperpreterism as someone who was an insider.

Episode 8: There’s Something About Gary – Part One and Part Two

Brief Summary: This show is co-hosted with Roderick Edwards and deals with irresponsible laxity on the part of some orthodox preterists when it comes to the issue of hyperpreterism, specifically, very prominent and influential preterist Gary DeMar of American Vision.

Episode 9: Be Not Deceived

Brief summary: The fourth of an ongoing extended study going verse by verse through the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode covers Matthew 24:4-5 concerning false christs and false prophets and demonstrates conclusively that this was fulfilled in the first century.

Episode 10: The Late Great Promised Land

Brief summary: The fifth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. The topic in this episode is Matthew 24:6-8 concerning wars, famines, and pestilences and whether or not these items were in fact fulfilled in the first century.

Episode 11: Complex Persecution

Brief summary: The sixth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode covers Matthew 24:9-13 concerning apostasy, persecutions, and betrayals to demonstrate that this too was fulfilled in the first century.

Episode 12: Gary, Gary quite contrary, what does your doctrine sow?

Brief summary: A follow-up to the two-part Episode 8 “There’s Something About Gary” and discusses the comments made in several blogs after those episodes as well as Gary DeMar’s continued ambiguity in his radio programs with specific audio examples given.

Episode 13: Can I Get a Witness?

Brief summary: The seventh of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode covers Matthew 24:14 and whether or not the Gospel was preached to the entire world in the first century.

Episode 14: The Abominable Strawman

Brief summary: The eighth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode covers Matthew 24:15 and [insert creepy music here] the abomination of desolation, and the bankruptcy of the dispensational view on this passage.

Episode 15: Run Like… Heck

Brief summary: The ninth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24. This episode covers Matthew 24:16-20 and demonstrates the local and ancient assumptions in the setting.

Episode 16: Ken Lee

Brief summary: Ep. 16 is something different than I have done before. I have come across some interesting information from Pastor David Lowman that I think justifies a very short backtrack into the material we covered in Episodes 4 and 6: The Road to Olivet and Answer Me These Questions Three.

Ep.19- Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?

Brief summary: Ep. 19 is the twelfth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24 and is intended to be an audio companion to the written commentary It’s Not the End of the World located at http://www.preteristsite.com/plain/warrenend.html. The topic in this episode is Matthew 24:23–26: Matthew 24:23-26: Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. And I add. . . Matthew 24:27-28: For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Ep.20- What an iTart!

Brief Summary: Content Warning: The material discussed is of a disturbing nature and may not be suitable for everyone. It is highly personal and autobiographical. May God use this information for His glory.

Like Episode 5, this podcast was unplanned, but recent events have caused me to finally expose the seedy underbelly of hyperpreterism and turn on the lights. This episode deals in somewhat explicit detail my experiences with the worst of the hyperpreterist movement for the past decade. It is also a long episode. If you are at all interested in the back-story of this type of work, it is a must-listen. If you are not particularly interested in my own personal story (and that is fine, believe me, I am not interested in the personal stories of a lot of podcasters I listen to), but really only the exegesis of the preterist passages, then you will want to skip this podcast. The humour-content of this episode is also very light due to the subject matter addressed.

Ep.21- Black Hole Sun

Brief summary: Ep. 21 is the thirteenth of an ongoing verse by verse study of the Olivet Discourse as recorded in Matthew 24 and is intended to be an audio companion to the written commentary It’s Not the End of the World located at http://www.preteristsite.com/plain/warrenend.html. The topic in this episode is Matthew Matthew 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Kicking Some Left Behind

Part one of the butt-whupping

Brief summary: Part one of a somewhat humourous critique that I will be doing on the audio version of Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. This is the first part and barely gets into the opening chapter of the first book. I introduce why I am doing this to begin with and why, although I am handling this is a joking manner, infantile reduction of Christianity in American Christianity is a major problem.

Part two of the butt-whupping

Brief summary: This is part two of a somewhat humourous critique that I will be doing on the audio version of Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. I explain further why I am doing this to begin with and why, although I am handling this is a joking manner, infantile reduction of Christianity in American Christianity is a major problem.

Part three of the butt-whupping

Brief summary: This is part three of a somewhat humourous critique that I will be doing on the audio version of Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. However, this episode is much more serious than the prior episodes as I discuss a potential heresy contained in the book.
